Retail and Production Assistant

Do you love cider? We are a small orchard based cidery looking to hire an assistant for this upcoming spring, summer and fall.  

This job will be a little bit of everything, as we are a tiny team. Lots of retail sales and service, think tasting flights and chatting to folks about cider. You’ll also get to learn about cider production and help us with bottling, cleaning tanks and other production tasks as they come up. If you stay on in the fall, you’ll be helping more in the orchard and cellar for picking and pressing season.

Our orchard is not certified organic, but we use only organic sprays and regenerative practices. Happy to share what we do there. We grow over 56 varieties of apples and pears and make dry, complex ciders.

Job involves:

Retail sales and service

Production jobs like bottling, labeling and general cidery tasks

Cleaning production area

Tasting and analysis of products

Assist with events and farmers’ markets as availability allows

Ability to work outdoors

Orchard work such as mowing and pruning

Occasional farmers’ markets or events

Must be physically capable to lift 40-50lbs

Ladder work

Pruning, picking apples

Pressing fruit

Ideal candidate may have:

Experience in hospitality

Experience in beverage production (beer, cider, wine or spirits)

Comfortable working both independently and on a team

Effective interpersonal and electronic communication skills

Horticultural and/or farming knowledge

Curious about cider styles, flavours and apples

Must have:

Smart Serve

Be 19+ years old

Retail Sales and Server

Do you love cider? We are a small orchard based cidery looking for a part-time server for this upcoming spring, summer and fall. We grow over 56 varieties of apples and pears and make dry, complex ciders. You’ll learn about how we make our ciders and why they’re so unique.

Looking for someone with a good attitude and work ethic. You will be serving tasting flights and chatting to folks about cider.

Market Sales Associate (TORONTO)

Saturdays 7:30am-2pm

Part time role representing our ciders at the Evergreen Brick Works Farmers’ Market. This market is awesome, with wonderful vendors and staff in a beautiful location.

Woodfolk Cider is an orchard based cidery in Oro Medonte. We make ciders from our own fruit and other farms’. We have over 56 varieties of apples and make complex, dry ciders. Everything from tannic and rich ciders, to bright and fruity.

Candidate can live in Toronto, or local to Woodfolk and drive down.
